There is a larger resort next door that has water slides and other amenities that you can use when staying at Palmaia. We are already trying to figure out when we can go back with the family. The resort was not at all crowded, I'm sure it is because it is very new, and I'm secretly hoping that the word doesn't get out. There are daily yoga and meditaion classes that I didn't get to try but, will next time for sure. The spa was not like the typical resort spa and didn't have a steam room and the usual amenities but, I had a great massage in a room with an amazing jungle view. Javier, the Hotel Manager, personally welcomed us and checked in throughout the stay to make sure that we didn't need anything and our stay was going well. Every single waiter, waitress, bartender and worker that we came in contact with was friendly, professional and couldn't seem to do enough for us, all with a smile on their face. He even makes the bread with home made vegan butter. The Food and Beverage Manager, Ulisses (sorry for the spelling), was so extremely gracious and went out of his way to make sure we had incredible new things to taste at many meals. My husband is not a vegetarian and was amazed at how tasty everything was. I cannot say enough good things about the food at this resort.Īll the resaturants feature plant based menus and every single meal we had was absolutely delicious. I love that they give you a reusable water bottle when checking in to use throughout the stay, so no plastic water bottle waste!! The resort itself is beautiful, situated on a long stretch of white sand natural beach. I found out about this resort from reading an article in the NY Times and it seemed amazing. ![]()
